That is the stupidest idea ever to even not allow people to unluck the phone. Where is the freedom. If I want to get phone somewhere else then I shouldn't be forbidden to do so. As far as the issuses between the telephone companies, let them resolve it, all is needed is what they teach their employees to be a team and work hard.

I don't know what kind of contract Apple signed with the devil, but they should be happy we like their products. I own an ipod and a new imac, but I refuse to be molested any longer by Cingular or AT&T or whatever they call themselves now. My household of three have left them 4 times. We are not going back. We love T-mobile.

Yes, if you buy a phone it is yours to do with what you want where you want to do it. Phones should not be locked into a carrier and if a phone is locked you shouldn't have to pay to unlock it, after all you paid for the phone. I have T--Mobile and everyone of my phones that i recieved from them I recieved locked. I alsoo goot the codes to unlock the phone from T-Mobile for free within 3 days of purchasing the phones, even though they should have never been locked. apple should absolutely, unlock the phone.

My whole family is on T-Mobile, and they aren't going to switch to another carrier just for the phone. I'd buy an iPhone the day it comes out if it were available for any network. The price of the phone cannot increase just because Apple makes it "unlock-able" either.

I agree, i have unlocked 1.1.4 and soon to unlock 1.2.0 as soon as I work out how to do it, I use uk iPhone so the u.s unlock dusnt work for me. I used ZiPhone to jailbreak and my own code to unlock.

My whole family would like iphones, but we won't change unless we can keep Verizon. Apple would sell millions and millions of iphones if people could use other carriers. It is terrible that they limit people to AT&T.
